Jyothidas Kelambath Vadakkina (he/him, born in 1987, Kerala, India) is a visual artist and researcher based in New Delhi. He is a trained printmaker whose art practice varies from drawing-based installations, photographs, text, and prints to performances and gatherings.
He has a keen interest in graphic narratives and political cartooning. His works deal with mutations of bodies under neoliberalism and his performances try to locate random acts of belonging. He researches the history of modernist printmaking in India.
He is a founding member of Mo’Halla, an art+culture+politics pop-up platform with a special focus on South Asia, based in Berlin and New Delhi. In his collaborative practice, he has been working with various artists and art collectives.
